Twinbrook Tri, August 25, 2013

Just wanted to say you and your team did a truly outstanding job on Sunday putting on the Twinbrook Triathalon, and thank you for making it so much fun and enjoyable!   --AS

...the camaderie is so much more obvious than what you find at a high school, college, or little league game where parents and even coaches are so terribly behaved. Multisport always has everyone working well together and encouraging the competition. We could use this sportsmanship example more often, especially in the industry sports beginning with N.     --JE

Thanks to you and Team Tri it Now for a great race day at Twinbrook.  I enjoyed the atmosphere and the high quality competition across all age groups......

The event was very well planned and executed and I wouldn't change a thing. Safety was a paramount concern and maintained throughout. Both run and bike courses were challenging sprints and very well controlled. The transition area was very well managed and plenty of room was available for everyone with bike racks that supported the bikes and gear very well.      --JE

Ladies' Choice, May 12, 2013

  • I participated in the Ladiesí Choice Triathlon yesterday and wanted to let you know what a great time I had.  The race was organized very well and the volunteers were all fantastic.  To make it even better, I just looked at the results and realized I got second in my age group, what a pleasant surprise!

Thanks again for a great race! -- SB

  • Thank you so much for a wonderful first triathlon experience. Sixteen moms and daughters calling ourselves the "Try-Athletes" participated in your Mother's Day triathlon and we all had a blast!

This group started from a bus stop conversation back in February and a thought that we all wanted to challenge ourselves with something new. This was the first triathlon for all of us. The best part was that your tri was so doable and mom friendly we were able to recruit a few of our friends who had not worked out in years. These ladies established work out routines the past few months and have pledged to keep it up because we all want to do another tri! They were even analyzing their times yesterday and reporting on how they plan to improve.

Thank you for providing us with this opportunity and making it a wonderfully supporting environment. --MB

  • Thanks for all the work you did to make this past week end's triathlon such a success. It was lots of fun!!     --CJ

Congrats...and thank you for the compliments!

The Summer Super Sprint in August 2008 was my first tri - I didn't run, bike, or swim at the time but a conversation with a friend piqued my interest in tris (when I found out backstroke was allowed). They were already rolling up the tape at the finish when I came through, but I was hooked. Fast-forward four years, I just finished my first 140.6 (and swam freestyle the whole 2.4 miles - no more backstroke!). If the Tri It Now series didn't exist, I don't know if I would have been brave enough, or motivated enough, to do a regular sprint distance. Thank you for having a great series to introduce people to this great sport!                                                  --BB, 10/28/12

Spring Ridge Sprint, September 1, 2012

  • Thanks for a fun and well organized race today. It was great to share it with my 11 year old son, his first tri....but not his last. Thanks for keeping it fun!  --SS

  • The Cub Scouts had a great time helping today with the Tri. You ran a great race!
    Yours in Scouting,
  • I enjoyed the opportunity to volunteer. It was a fun day.

  • ...I just wanted to say thanks for the great race last weekend. The Tune Up Tri was my first triathlon and it was a great introduction to multi-sport racing. Participants were friendly and supportive and I really appreciated the collegial atmosphere you obviously foster....                          --KB
  • First, thanks for organizing this race. It was my first tri ever and I was hoping to find one that was a shorter than sprint distance since to me even that was intimidating. I want you to know that all of the volunteers were great and it was a well run race. I now know what I need to work on before I enter another event ..................                                                                                       --MR

Summer Super Sprint, August 7, 2011

  • Thank you for organizing and running such a successful event. The [Summer Super Sprint] Triathlon was my very first tri. Kudos to you and your staff for such a well organized race. The 14.06, July 10, 2011

  • ...I have sung your praises to my triathlon group and have had wonderful experiences at your events in the last two seasons! I always know that Ina's smiling face and cheery voice will calm my pre-race jitters! The shorter distances fit very well into any type of training I am doing, and things are run so well in general! My son also had a great time last year at Spring Ridge and we are both looking forward to being able to participate together again this year. I really appreciate all the chances you give us to win fun and useful door prizes at the events, and the atmosphere is really more like a family than a bunch of strangers....      --CR
  • I would like to say today was my first triathlon of any kind and I really enjoyed the experience. I appreciate the level of effort it takes to pull off the logistical ballet for the event. Kudos to your group. I believe I'll be doing more.   --MM

  • Dan's Tri It Now racebelt continues to get around.....

Manasas Mini Tri, June 12, 2011

  • Thank you very much! And thank you for making this mini tri possible. Iím too intimidated to do a full or even a sprint, but this mini seems more manageable as a first attempt. Even remembering how to swim this month and getting a bike have been so much fun and have already helped get me in better shape! So thank you for your work to make this happen Ė I very much appreciate it.                    --VO
  • ....wanted to let you know what a great race it was! I always love coming out to do the Tri It Now races because they are so well organized and the race coordinators, volunteers and participants are great!

Thanks! See you July 10th.      --CC

Kids Tri Too, June 5, 2011

  • I wanted to thank you so much for being such a positive force for my daughters (Samantha and Delaney H...) in their first triathlon. Your calmness, positivity, and clarity made this a fun, not frightening, experience for my two girls....

...They both wanted to thank you for being so awesome and easy to follow. Your love for the sport is infectious and we plan on participating and assisting in the future, now we have some kind of idea as to how it works. ;) Can't wait to hear how everyone did...

Many thanks for all you do for these ambitious kids and their families....          --AH

  • I would like to thank all the staff and volunteers for the excellent race you put on yesterday. I had two kids race in the 6-8

Tune Up Tri, March 27, 2011

  • I just wanted to send a BIG THANK YOU for a wonderful race on Sunday....
Again, just like last year, the atmosphere was amazing - having so
many of us cheering on the last few people really showed (I think)
what a great bunch of people you have organizing and help set up the
events... your enthusiasm and friendliness is definitely contagious!

Anyway, I am waffling on, thank you and everyone who helped set
up/take down etc etc. You all ROCK!      --DG

  • My sister, niece, and I ran the duathlon yesterday.  It was such great fun and I want to thank you for all you do.  I love the Duathlon format and love how fun and low-key the event was.  It is such a different experience to do something rewarding and feel like part of a group in a competitive setting - you manage to do it all!
Thanks again and look forward to the 2011 season. -- CS
  • Thanks again for the Du-it duathlon! You guys always put on an enjoyable race, refreshments, and door prizes included. You're a tremendous part of our triathlon community. Let's hope it keeps growing! See you next season...the TIN point series sounds great!  --JG

Spring Ridge Sprint, August 29, 2010

  • Just wanted to say thanks. I did yesterday's sprint tri in Frederick. I registered and set this as a goal for myself while I was pregnant with my second child. She's three months old now, and knowing that I was registered for this race made me get out and stay active after she was born. I think it's helped me combat some postpartum depression and recover more quickly. On top of that, a wonderful friend of mine and my MOM raced with (and finished before) me! It was their first race, too. Two years ago my mom was on the verge of being diabetic and could barely walk a few blocks. Yesterday she not only won her division, she finished with a time that would've won several of the younger divisions, too. I can't even express how proud of her I am. All three of us were terrified the night before, and the words "next year" were said more than once after we finished! Thank you for putting on such a great event that lets the less experienced and the not-as-in-shape among us have this opportunity. I hope you do your women's tri clinic this winter, because I know we'll be there and participating in at least one of your events next year!                    --KM

Kids Tri Too 2 / Kids Can Du,  August 15, 2010

  • The kids had a great time yesterday.  I think they built some good self confidence.
We are looking forward to participating again next year.
    Thanks!   - R. W.

Summer Super Sprint, August 8, 2010

    Many thanks,   --J. C.
  • Thank you for an incredibly rewarding experience.  It was my first Tri and I loved it!  You guys are great and I'll be back to do more as well as volunteer.  Thanks again.   --N.S.
  • Thank you so much for organizing such a fun race today.  I signed up last minute at packet pick-up and was seamlessly integrated into the fold.  It was fun and empowering.  Can't wait to do my next one.  Thank you!
    --S. S.
  • ...I really love Tri It Now and whenever I hear people saying that they can't do triathlons anymore because of old injuries, I tell them about the short distance events you offer and they quickly jot down the website so they can get back into the sport.
    See you next year!
    --M. V.

TRI IT on Fathers Day, June 20, 2010

  • I want to thank you for a well run event and what a terrific location for a race and my first Tri.
The park setting was  beautiful and the race was big enough to make it competitive but not to big
to be overwhelming. You and your staff of volunteers  were super.  Also, I met some really nice people
racing as well, just a great rewarding experience overall.   I couldn't have picked a better race
for my first Tri, and with Tri it now.   Thanks again,                --B.

Manassas Mini Tri, June 13, 2010

  • Thanks for another great race.  We always enjoy your races!    --D.Y.
  • Thank you for putting together this short distance triathlons. They are really good in providing practice for the chaotic swim in a safe and controlled environment. It is also a great way to practice first hand the transitions. There is no pressure at all, just a nice event to give people the opportunity to practice and get use to the sport. I am so glad you came up with the idea!              --MV
  •  it was a well organized and fun tri! We'll be back, again    --BQ

  • You guys did a great job on the race. My daughter had a great day and I couldn't have asked for more doing our "Mother/Daughter" Inaugural Triathlon!

                                Thanks Again,    --N&J S

  • My thank you to you and all the volunteers today for an incredible event.  You did a phenomenal job.  The event was fun and very organized.  I was so happy to find something that allowed me to "try out" a trialthon.

Today's event had more meaning to me than when I initially signed up.  Two weeks ago today, my right lung collapsed and I had surgery just over a week ago to correct it.  Having my running (favorite form of exercise) and first-time triathlon taken away from me was very disheartening.  However, I started feeling better several days before the race and with my surgeon's blessing, decided to do the triatholon - just to see if I could do it.

Words cannot describe the feeling I felt when I crossed the finish line. It was a huge mood booster and was definitely a sign that I can get myself back up to speed without limitations!

Thank you again for all of your time and effort to make today's race an enjoyable experience.

I love triathlon training (and exercising in general now) - this is greatly thanks to you and the awesome events you coordinate! See you Sunday!                                        --R.E.B.

It was my first, and will not be my last.

thank you for a great experience.

The 14.06, July '09

Thanks for another great Tri It Now Race.  This was my third Tri It Now race and as always, you organized and produced a fantastic event. It was fun, safe, on time and wll-managed. Having just directed my first 5K event in Burke this Spring, I have a new appreciation for how much effort it takes to put on an event, especially a multi-sport one!

I just wanted to drop a note to thank you for running such a wonderful event on Sunday in Manassas. The 14.06 was the first triathlon that I have ever done, and it was a wonderful and exhilarating experience.......You clearly put a ton of time and effort into running the 14.06 - it shows and it is very much appreciated (especially for this newbie)! .......[photo attached] I thought I would share the genuine smiles that we had on our faces! We called ourselves winners because it was such a nice accomplishment. You had so much to do with that- thanks!

We look forward to seeing you on August 9th for the next event.

Thank you again for making my first experience in a triathlon a wonderful one.                        --ML

Manassas Mini Tri, June '09

I participated in the Manassas Mini Tri on June 7.  I just wanted to say
I had so much fun and was very grateful to have a chance to participate
in a triathlon with these distances.  It was a perfect way to get my
feet wet (Pun intended).  The event was well put together and was truly
so much fun!! Thank you for holding this event.      --F. P.

...It was so fun!  Your volunteers were absolutely great!  Directions were well marked.
What a wonderful experience, and the clinic in January helped me tremendously.   -M. R.

Thank you so much for a fantastic event!  I was completely blown away by the organization and effort given by you, your staff, and all of the volunteers.  This was so much fun!  There are so many great people involved....

Tune Up Tri, March '09

Ina,  Just wanted to send you an email and say thanks for another great race. It was so much fun again. You and your volunteer staff do such a great job.....These have brought so much fun and excitment to the department. Thanks again for all the hard work to put these races on.   --Walter

Thank you for a wonderful introduction to the sport of triathlon!  I feel much more confident now that I have my first experience under my belt, and I can't wait for my next race in a couple of weeks down at Lake Anna!.....

.....Thank you again for all of your hard work and organization to make this possible for newbies!        -Karla

Ina and rest of group organizing Tri It Now, thank you for the awesome event.

My family enjoyed the sense of accomplishment and participating together in the race...

...I feel super proud of my children's accomplishment but also of myself. Toward the 5th lane in the swim leg I had a panic attack (deep water phobia) and had to hang onto the rope to pull myself together. At some point in the midst of that panic I thought this would be my last triathlon but once I was together I promised myself that I will continue fighting this phobia and one day hope to finish a tri without giving the swim part a second thought.

Thank you again and warm regards,
~M. A. M.

Wanted to share with you my 10 year-old's observation during the race. During the bike portion (this is his 2nd tri) he said: "You know, it LOOKS dreary out today, but Triathlon cures the drearies!"

Many thanks for a fun event!
Patty T.

Tune Up Tri, March '08

I participated in my first triathlon event on March 30, 2008 at the Tune Up Tri.  Thank you very much for making this experience awesome!  I was very impressed with the organization and preparations that were made for this event.  The pre-race packet pickup at the Freedom center on Saturday afternoon was very smooth.  There were plenty of friendly volunteers to move us through the line quickly.  Great sponsors and t-shirts!  Saturday's pre-race meeting was especially helpful as a review of the rules and super advice on what to expect in the transition area and on the course.
I know it is difficult to coordinate with hundreds of participants along with the facilities and volunteers that are necessary to make such an event a success.  You did a great job!
This has been such a great first time triathlon experience that I have nothing but positive feedback for the sport and for the Tri It Now organization.  I will definitely consider another Tri It Now event and recommend these races to friends!
Thank you so much...

--Daniel M.

Summer Super Sprint '07

This is the first one of these I've ever done and I had a blast. You all did a tremendous job of running the event, explaining what was going to happen and where to go. It made my first experience a lot of fun. I can't wait to do it again!

--William T.
